At Phoenix Theatre, we strive for excellence in theatre made by, with, and for the community.

Established in 2005 as the first such group in the City of Cockburn, Phoenix Theatre Inc. operates out of the gorgeous Hamilton Hill Memorial Hall.

Phoenix Theatre is a place to belong. We welcome artists and audiences alike to partake in each aspect of the dramatic arts. New members, both on-stage and back-stage are always welcome. If the walls could talk, they’d regale you with memories of plays, musicals, light opera, cabaret, horror and everything in between. We’re open to the opportunities that theatre can bring, and excited for whatever those may be.

It takes a village, however. From the lighting rig to the paint on the floor, props and costumes to make-up and hair – even the tea makers – there’s always a place for volunteers at Phoenix Theatre. We delight in providing opportunities not only to share your skills, but the chance to learn something new along the way.

We are a not-for-profit incorporated association supported by generous grants from the City of Cockburn and Lotterywest. Every cent is stretched as far as it will cover, and proceeds from both tickets and refreshments are rolled right back into preparations for the next great event. Fundraising and sponsorship offers are welcomed with eager ears, and we’re proud to be able to support our local businesses and charities.
